JUMP!
Wowowow! Last night we headed to the theatre at Jongno to watch JUMP and it was amaaaaazing! If you have no idea what JUMP is, let me explain... basically, it's a comedy show performed through martial arts... now, I'm not usually into all that hyper-macho crap, but JUMP manages to avoid falling into that category and is, quite simply, FRIGGIN' AWESOME. It's been getting quite a lot of (positive) press coverage in England and the States (since it's performed in New York too), all of which is, having now seen it for myself, undeniably deserved! I really can't do justice to how ridiculously funny it is here, so to put it simply: I would DEFINITELY reccommend checking it out if you're ever in Seoul (or New York for that matter!) The official website is @ http://www.hijump.co.kr/ where we are told that:
JUMP tells the story of a crazy Korean family, headed by a domineer grandfather grandmaster. The imminent marriage of the daughter, a surprise visitor and two poor burglars provide the ingredients for martial arts mayhem...
Sounds awesome, no? Still not convinced? ...then feast your Augen!
...and what's more, not only did we have awesome seats (third row from the front!), but the cast were also around after the show to do programme-signing, which I, being a shameless fangirlboy for anything like that, pounced on like a madman. ...hence, I now have my very own programme signed by the ENTIRE CAST, and got to meet them all too! *squeeeeeeeee!* Han Jin, who plays the Dad, even wished me "good luck!" (Does he know something I don't?! O_o) Hahaha - look!:
But my favourite cast-member was Shin Jung Hoon, who played the Drunken Uncle, for... NO PARTICULAR REASON.
...did I mention that he signed my programme?! ♥
